Phenomenology and the objective of historiography

Edward Ballard

pp. 1-12

Abstract

A collection of essays mostly on philosophers who now belong to the calendrical past and on a way of thinking — i.e., the liberal arts — which to many may seem to be passé, appears to call for some remarks on history. In this first essay, therefore, I provide such an introduction in the form of a discussion of several views of historiography.
