Subjectivity, error correction capacity, and the pathogenesis of delusions of reference

Hinderk M. Emrich

pp. 372-377

Abstract

One of the major goals in recent developments in understanding the constitutional factors leading to schizophrenic disorders is the unification of different aspects of psychotic psychopathology within one single neuropsychological principle. The present paper aims at a discussion of this aspect of schizophrenia research within the perspective of the concepts of censorship-impairment, error-correction dysfunction and the systems theory approach of "comparator-systems", in relation to the psychopathology of delusions of reference.
