"Trying sociology," sociology of knowledge, surrender-and-catch

Kurt Wolff

pp. 44-52

Abstract

Trying Sociology 1 assembles most of my writings in sociology until about 1970. It has six parts following an introduction that develops five meanings of "trying": attempting, trying out or on, sitting in trial, trying (adjective), and rendering or separating out impurities.
