Adapting the open methodology for web development

M. Lin B. Henderson-Sellers

pp. 117-129

Abstract

Information systems methodologies for web-based developments are crucial for largescale commercial software. Indeed, even though small projects can be apparently accomplished successfully without use of a formal methodology, these projects will become less of the norm as webbased development is integrated into commercial organizations as one of their major platforms for delivering business solutions to their customers. In the context of object-oriented web development, the third generation methodology, OPEN, is linked with the needs of web-based development. Extensions needed are evaluated and recommendations for future work given.
