"Can intranet development be a valuable means of organisational learning?"
pp. 153-165
Abstract
The following paper sets out an exploration of the contribution that intranet development and use can bring, not only as an e-mail and publishing medium, but also for its use as a communication medium to facilitate organisational learning. Changes due to new technology and education needs are introduced, then current project management is considered. The paper ends concluding that methods following a traditional life-cycle approach to application development do not support the educational process required, and that an explicit management of learning outcomes is needed within intranet development projects.
