Abstract

No interpretation can do justice to such a fruitful thinker as Jean-Paul Sartre.1 However, the assertion that an understanding of human freedom is the key to Sartre's thought has much to commend it, indeed, an exploration of his idea of freedom entails an extensive treatment of his work.
