In this second part of our discussion of Leibniz's philosophy of space we will abandon the realm of imagination to adventure into more rarefied regions of metaphysics. Leibniz's doctrine of expression and phenomenon continues to be the framework of our further investigation. Here, we will particularly study the determination of real space, and the deduction of the variegated, actually experienced phenomenal world, as far as the intrinsic limits of Leibniz's endeavor will allow us to proceed. The only addition to our abstract account of Leibniz's theory of knowledge will consist in the concept of existence. Yet, the introduction of this notion alone will bring along an exceptional extension of all themes and objects in his metaphysics of space.
