Phenomenological psychopathology and care
from person-centered dialectical psychopathology to the phd method for psychotherapy
pp. 361-378
Abstract
This chapter builds on and extends the assumption that to be human is to be in dialogue and that mental pathology is the outcome of a crisis of one's dialogue with alterity. It also argues that care is a kind of dialogue wherein dialogue takes place whose aim is to re-enance the interrupted dialogue with oneself and the external world. Phenomenological psychopathogy is quitent essential to re-enanhance this dialogue since it provides the method, i.e., phenomenological unfolding, clinical hermeneutics and genetic understanding.
