Abstract
These papers have explored various facets of the relationships between religion and mental health. They do not advocate simple or unitary solutions, but recognize cautiously that more work is needed to clarify these relationships. Nevertheless, they all accept that religions can offer preventive and therapeutic resources, most obviously among the poor, homeless, bereaved, and for those who are physically or mentally ill. But not only there.
