A theory of conflict resolution by problem-solving
pp. 183-198
Abstract
In 1974 an account was published of the use of a technique, devised by John Burton1 and then called "controlled communication," which functions simultaneously as a research tool and as an instrument of conflict resolution. The technique has since been developed further and is now known as the problem-solving procedure. This paper extends and interprets the results presented earlier.2
