Abstract

How do conceptions of space change with the infiltration of new elements of interactivity into our surroundings? What are the effects of digitalization on typological, tectonic and ornamental changes in contemporary architecture and cities? What are the new functional and aesthetic potentials that become available to us? Where are the opportunities and dangers? This article explores such questions at the intersection of the physical and virtual realm through recent examples, built and unbuilt.
