Abstract

The Turkish Academy of Sciences attaches utmost importance to scientific cooperation among countries, because it believes that it not only paves the way to a constructive dialogue among different cultures, but also acts as a powerful antidote to intolerance and to ideological and racial barriers and that universality, freedom and critical thinking constitute basic elements in the scientific process and form a common bond between all cultures.
